Dad, I did as you asked and brought a flower to Mom:

Love you, Dad!! Be careful out there and don't let them a-holes run you off the road!

  2. I LOVE this picture of my Sister and Mother!! Mare, you look so beautiful. I can't wait to visit Mom this weekend -- it's been too long since I was last home. I'm glad it was Evie's birthday this week so I could drag Jim on up. What makes me smile about this picture is thinking of me taking almost the exact same shot at Easter. Maybe we can set up some speakers and dance with Mom.

And you can't see my Mom real good in this photo, but it is an amazing picture of her. It perfectly captures her joyful, open, warm spirit. When you see that twinkle in my sisters' and my eyes, that's courtesy of Mom and Dad.

By the way, when Dad talked about Mom in an earlier post, he ended with "Just Beyond the Moon." If you get a chance, look that song up. It's an oldie by Tex Ritter and it is simply beautiful and heartbreaking.
